Switchme is a Kiwi owned independent online comparison service for the electricity suppliers of New Zealand. The site which was the first comparison and signup service to be launched at the end of 2009 is a completely free and accurate service to use and will establish if there is a cheaper deal to be found for your household power bills. The Switchme team is based in Auckland CBD.

Between December 2009 and September 2011 Switchme has saved New Zealand households over $1.5 million by switching power companies for around 10,000 customers. Your comparison can be done online, or alternatively you can call the friendly customer service team for advice, comparisons and switches on the free 0800 number (0800 179 482).

With over 15 different power companies around New Zealand to choose from, comparing unit prices and line charges can seem a bit daunting if not at least time consuming.

Switchme are dedicated to removing the stress that can be involved in finding a cheaper power provider, and can even organise the switch for you, meaning in one quick call you can save yourself a pocket full of money each month.

SAVINGS FOR EVERYONE !

In a recent electricity industry report (Improving Electricity Market Performance - Aug 2009) it is stated that residential electricity customers would be better off on average by around $100 per customer per year, if all customers were to move to the cheapest electricity retailer in their area, the total savings would amount to $150 million per year.

The report also suggests that if customers become more active and shop around, then this will force a more competitive response from electricity retailers... or in other words, would mean cheaper electricity for everyone!
