Who owns Nova Energy?

Nova Energy are a division of the privately-owned by The Todd Corporation Limited.

Where is their head office?

Nova Energy's head office is located at The Todd Building, Customhouse Quay, Wellington.

How often will my meters be read?

Nova Energy provides monthly meter readings unless this is not possible for reasons beyond their control.

My current retailer installed a smart meter and can read it remotely. Will my new retailer be able to read this meter remotely also?

Your new retailer may not necessarily be able to read your current Smart meter. Some retailers have the technology to remotely read other retailer’s meters, but this is not always the case. In this case Nova Energy will provide manual monthly meter readings unless this is not possible for reasons beyond their control.

Do Nova Energy have bonds for business customers?

Nova Energy’s credit policy may require a bond to be paid as security for payment of a commercial account.  The requirement for a bond at any time will depend on payment history or a credit risk assessment. In cases where a bond condition does apply then then amount of the bond will be quoted.  A commercial bond is usually for an amount of $500 or an estimate of two months energy supply, whichever is greater
