How often will my meters be read?
Trustpower use a smart meter that will provide a monthly read. For sites not fitted with a smart meter, Trustpower will typically have a meter reader manually read the meter every second month. You may be asked to provide specific access details to assist the reader in gaining this read.

If you would prefer, you can read your own meter when you have received an estimated bill, simply send Trustpower your reading within five days of receiving your bill, and they will re-issue the invoice based on an accurate reading.
My current retailer installed a smart meter and can read it remotely. Will my new retailer be able to read this meter remotely also?
Your new retailer may not necessarily be able to read your current Smart meter. Some retailers have the technology to remotely read other retailer's meters, but this is not always the case.
