Nova Energy thinks differently about energy for your home or business.
We think about your best mix of energy types, about more efficient and sustainable energy use, and about things we can do to save on your energy bill.
We know what it is like running a home or business. You need energy for things essential to your life - heating, hot water, lighting and running appliances and machines.
We understand you wish there was a way that you could save on your energy bill or at least to be sure you are getting the most out of the energy you use. That is where we come in; using innovation and challenging industry norms we think differently- about your best mix of energy types, about more efficient and sustainable energy use, and about things we can do to save on your energy bill.
We can do this because we are the only 100% New Zealand owned and operated energy company that offers a total range of energy solutions including natural gas, electricity, LPG, solar and cogeneration technologies - so we understand the options you have to power your home or business.
We are different from the rest because we can help you decide on the best mix of energy to keep you running at the lowest cost, and we take care of getting it installed and working. We also arrange our service in ways that make a world of difference to you.
Reasons to choose Nova Energy
Innovation and quality are very much part of our generation activities and we are committed to energy efficiency and sustainable energy options.
We take environmental sustainability very seriously. Our electricity generation utilises a diverse range of renewable hydro and geothermal energy and we are the largest generator of electricity in New Zealand from efficient gas-fired co-generation facilities.
We are also using technology that harnesses landfill gas to create electricity, which ultimately helps reduce New Zealand's greenhouse gas emissions.
Further renewable energy projects in progress or being evaluated include a hydro project on the upper Kaituna River, a number of potential wind-farms and investment into new tidal-generation technologies.
