Will Empower charge me a bond ?

Residential customers not meeting Empowers' credit criteria may be requested to pay a bond of $150.

How often will Empower read my meter ?

Empower endeavor to read your meter every 2-3 months. Estimate bills based on your previous consumption will be produced in between reads.

What payment methods do Empower offer ?

Empower offer a number of payment methods for your convenience:

• SmoothPay
• Internet banking
• Telephone banking
• Cheque
• Cash or EFTPOS at any PostShop branch

Can I get funding for home insulation through Empower ?

Empower has put together a brilliant insulation package to make it easy for you to have a warmer, well insulated home. You could be eligible for a government subsidy of up to $1300 towards the costs of insulating your home. (Terms and conditions apply)

Will I still get my rebate from the lines company ?

If your network company is a consumer trust such as Vector, you are still entitled to your dividend and it will be distributed as usual through your electricity account.
