How will I be billed with Empower?

Empower aims to read your meter every 2-3 months, with estimated readings based on previous use between reads. They will also send your household a power bill each month.

What are Empower’s Payment Methods? Ways to pay you power bill

Empower offers a number of different options for paying your bill. If you pay your power bill by the due date, you’ll get a 10% prompt payment discount.
Payment options:

• Direct Debit - this means the amount of your power bill is automatically deducted from your bank account each month. This will ensure you always get your prompt payment discount
• 'Smooth Pay' - with Empower's Smooth Pay you pay a set amount throughout the year, smoothing out the highs and lows of your energy bill so there are no surprises
• Other ways to pay - your household can also pay your power bill using the internet or telephone banking, by posting them a cheque or in person at any local Post Shop
